Terms of Use

Terms for using would.you decision tools, editorial guides, random outputs and journal content.

Use the tools as aids, not authorities

Agreement

By using would.you, you agree to these terms and the privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the site. These terms apply to the decision tools, guides, journal, images and other site materials.

Informational purpose

would.you provides general educational content and decision aids. It does not provide medical, legal, financial, mental-health or other professional advice. A guide or output is not a guarantee, diagnosis, recommendation tailored to your circumstances or instruction to take a particular action.

How the tools work

Random tools use the browser's cryptographic random source when available and stop if that source is unavailable. Duplicate removal changes which entries participate in a draw. Matrix totals are arithmetic based on the names, weights and scores you enter. A technically correct calculation can still reflect incomplete evidence, poor criteria or unacceptable options.

Your decisions and safety

You remain responsible for checking constraints, consequences and the interests of other people. Do not use a random result to decide consent, safety, health, legal rights, major financial commitments or any outcome that a person cannot freely accept. Seek a qualified professional when the stakes require one.

No account or paid service

The launch tools are available without an account or subscription. would.you does not promise that a tool will remain free forever, but any material paid offering would be presented separately before a charge is made. Nothing on the current site creates a consulting, fiduciary or professional-client relationship.

Editorial content and publication

Guides and journal articles are general publications. Dates, sources and review notes describe the editorial record; they do not promise that every page is current for every jurisdiction or personal situation. Automated systems may assist with formatting, checks and scheduling, while the site operator remains responsible for publication.

Acceptable use

You may use the public tools for lawful personal, educational and ordinary organizational purposes. Do not attempt unauthorized access, probe or overload the service, bypass security controls, introduce malicious code, scrape in a way that disrupts service, impersonate would.you, or use the tools to harass, deceive or make prohibited high-stakes determinations about another person.

Site content and attribution

Unless a page states otherwise, would.you site copy, original illustrations, interface design and branding are protected content. You may link to pages and quote short passages with clear attribution. You may not republish a substantial part of the site, remove attribution, sell copies, or present the materials or brand as your own without permission.

Third-party sources and links

Links to research, official documentation and other websites are provided for context. would.you does not control third-party availability, security, terms or later changes. A link does not mean that the third party endorses would.you or that would.you endorses every statement on that site.

Optional advertising notifications

The site may offer browser push notifications delivered through RollerAds. The browser asks for permission, and you can refuse without losing access to the site. If you accept, advertising messages may arrive when would.you is not open. You can withdraw permission in your browser settings. Advertised products, claims and destination websites belong to their respective advertisers and must be evaluated independently.

Availability and changes

The site may be corrected, updated, suspended or withdrawn without notice. We aim to keep calculations and links working, but do not promise uninterrupted access, error-free content or compatibility with every browser. Material corrections follow the editorial policy.

Disclaimers and responsibility

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the site and its content are provided as available without warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose or a particular outcome. would.you is not responsible for a decision merely because a visitor used a prompt, random result or calculation. Nothing in these terms excludes a right or liability that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.

Contact and changes to these terms

Questions about these terms can be sent to hello@would.you. Material revisions will be shown through the updated date on this page. Continued use after revised terms take effect means the revised terms apply to later use.
